My name is Mariel and I love dessert. To bake is to breathe! I am a trained pastry chef and I have worked in restaurants and bakeries in the Bay Area, bearing my soul, sweating, bleeding, loving, creating and slowly gaining culinary themed tattoos for about 7 years.
OriginalCinn Desserts is my blog and my business venture. My love of teaching and training came from working in restaurants and training culinary students. I wanted to continue teaching people how to make delicious desserts outside the restaurant through my baking and dessert classes, teaching the home baker that scratch baking is simple and not “too hard”!
